AitD: Creative Expressions of the Dream

Hey, this is an experimental test-zone for Awakening in the Dream participants to publish their art, music, writing, etc.

Access could be public or limited to members-only. I don't know, what do you all think would be best?

Someone mentioned that there's already a facebook page. I felt like a blog would be a nice way to archive our creative works as a collective. If you think this is a project you might have something to contribute to, I hope that you will. And if you have any thoughts to share, please do so as a reply to this post.

To access username/password information for creating new posts and sharing your art, please contact Ezra at equilibriumarts@gmail.com

Thanks!

  1. Thanks Ezra for doing this. I just signed myself up, plan on participating, and am encouraging some other dreamers to do the same, who I know write and/or post their stuff on the email string. Are there any "guidelines", protocols or such (like can people post poetry, do posts need to expressly be about some aspect or issue involving the personal/collective dreaming process, or can it be about anything, etc?) or is this pretty much a free for all?

  2. Ezra, as to your question about access being public or limited to members-only, I can pick up both voices, both have pluses and minuses. I think the Facebook page is already "members only", so on balance, the idea of the Portland dreaming community co-creating a "Global Virtual Container" overnight gives me shivers of anticipatory delight. I mean, what an opportunity, and do we have to lose?

  3. Thanks John.

If there are any guidelines to this project, I imagine that they would co-arise through our discussions.

The catalyst need not be dictatorial...

My thoughts on the content of art-submissions:

We want to contribute to this blog consciously, sharing pieces which express our innermost experiences. What could potentially arise, if enough dreamers chose to participate in this project, is a tapestry of images, ideas, sounds, and language.

Perhaps this tapestry would be a way for us, as a collective, to both share our puzzle piece and observe how it fits into the larger body. Since that's what dream group is all about, why not have a central locale where members from all of the groups share their vision and reflections?
